Parking

Abundant free parking is available.

The rear parking lot is located off East Main Street, behind the building. Access to the building is direct from the parking lot. The parking lot is lighted at night, & enclosed by a wood fence. You will notice a small sign at the entrance to the parking lot indicating the Rainbow Project & the "Safe Harbor" program. Please park in stalls designated "Rainbow."

Limited parking is also available in front of the building on East Washington Avenue, however, due to the large volume of traffic, we prefer you park in the rear parking lot.

Directions

From Interstate 90/94, take the East Washington Avenue (also known as Highway 151) exit (Exit #135A) of the interstate & proceed towards the state capitol on East Washington Avenue/Highway 151 South. Continue traveling west for approximately five & one half miles. Turn left on Paterson Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto East Main Street. Rear parking lot is the third driveway on the right between Paterson Street & Livingston Street.

From the Beltline Highway (also known as Highways 12/14/18/151), take the John Nolen Drive exit (Exit #263). Proceed northeast on John Nolen Drive towards downtown Madison. This will take you through the isthmus. You will travel east/northeast for approximately three miles; passing through several sets of stoplights, by Lake Monona, & under the Monona Terrace Convention Center. Turn right onto East Main Street at the second street after the railroad tracks. Travel east on East Main Street. Rainbow's rear parking lot & entrance is located on the left side of the street, between Livingston Street & Paterson Street.

Rainbow is accessible on the Madison Metro bus line. Current routes & schedules may be obtained directly from Madison Metro at (608) 266-4466, OR at their web site- www.ci.madison.wi.us/metro/metro.html.
