| To make a referral of a
child or family to the Rainbow Project, please contact the "Referral &
Community Program Coordinator" (608) 255-7356, extension 316, during business hours (9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday).
|
| Rainbow Project staff strive to link people
in need with the most appropriate services possible. Rainbow Project also works to
provide services to children & families
who cannot be served elsewhere. This may mean that a Rainbow Project staff
member will refer you to another agency for treatment. Due to the high level of need of
many potential clients, Rainbow Project maintains a waiting list. If
the length of the wait list becomes contraindicated (given a particular client's
immediacy of need for treatment), staff will attempt to refer that child or family to
other, more timely accessed services.
|
| Some of the following criteria
are used when determining if Rainbow Project is the best match for the needs of a given
child or family:
|
 | The
child or family resides within Dane County |
|
 | The
identified child client is ten years old or younger upon enrollment |
|
 | The
family's progress with previous providers |
|
| Depending upon the private insurance
company, access to Rainbow Project services will vary. If eligibility is
restricted to services in-home or to providers other than Rainbow
Project, we
will generally refer a given individual or family directly to their insurance
provider to help
determine where & how to access services.
